New Delhi, July 26,2023-The Opposition has launched a severe attack on the BJP after Prime Minister Narendra Modi equated INDIA with Indian Mujahideen, East India Company and mentioned the Indian National Congress in the same breath.

According to a BJP spokesperson, Modi made these remarks at a meeting of the BJP parliamentary party.

Talking to MediaMap, today morning Suryakant Dhasmana, Senior Vice-President of Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee said that he was not surprised by the statement of Prime Minister Modi.

Nobody in the country could have found any fault with this nomenclature but the Prime Minister has done it.

He said that Ramcharitmas our most sacred granth worshipped by all the Sangh Parivar has a line which reads ‘Jaki Rahi Bhavna Jaisi prabhu Moorat Dekhi Tin Jaisi’. So if someone wants to find negativity and problems everywhere they can do it, he said.

But Dhasmana says this a more serious issue.

“This anti-India statement is actually seditious,” he said, adding, ”If Rahul Gandhi can be taken to court for reportedly defaming a community called Modi here is a Prime Minister denigrating a whole country that belongs to all of us.”

“By equating India with Indian Mujahideen and East India Company the Prime Minister has insulted the post of the ‘Indian’ Prime Minister, Constitution of ‘India’, Chief Justice of ‘India’, President of ‘India”, he said, hoping the Courts would take suo motto notice of this.

He however added that this is the role the RSS has been historically playing before India became free. They were against the freedom struggle then and today again they are against the idea of India.

Former Law Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal said that he had similar views on the matter.

In a tweet just before the Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) decided to file a no-confidence motion against the Government led by Modi, Sibal said, ”No confidence motion. When PM lacks confidence to make a statement in parliament; keeps ‘maun’ on the crimes against women in Manipur till the Supreme Court comments; keeps ‘maun’ on Brij Bhushan; says no territory is occupied by China. How can INDIA have confidence in him?”

However irrespective of the blasphemy of the derogatory statement made by the Prime Minister loyal Bhakts have started playing to the gallery, without understanding what context the PM had in mind.

One of them is Assam Chief Minister Himanta Sarma, who changed his bio on Twitter removing the word India.

His explanation, “Our civilizational conflict is pivoted around India and Bharat. The British named poor country India. We must strive to free ourselves from colonial legacies. Our forefathers fought for Bharat, and we will continue to work for Bharat. BJP for BHARAT” he wrote in his latest explanation since he changed his bio.

Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate gave him sane advice,”Sarma find a better tweet writer. This one makes you appear foolish. Your fight seems to be begin with your geolocation on your Twitter bio. Be rest assured we will ensure Jeetega Bharat, Jeetega INDIA.”

Meanwhile some opposition leaders who were very upset with planted media reports of Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad being unhappy about the selection of the name INDIA are now chuckling under their sleeves at the discomfiture of the Prime Minister since 26 parties came together on one platform in Bengaluru and Rahul and Mamata Banerjee came up with the name INDIA on July 18.

‘The paid TV channels may keep talking of the Masterstroke of their Master all the time but here is Rahul Gandhi who alongwith Didi has created a name that has rattled the NDA no end,’ said one.

Naturally West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee must have the last word in this war of words.

“When the Indian team steps on the field to play, people say India India. Does anyone say Majahideen during the game. What is the name of our country? India. What is your motherland? We write India. So India, India. The more they link hateful words with INDIA the more we will assume that he is impressed with the name” she said.
