Description automatically generatedDelhi Assembly elections are witnessing a tough fight between BJP, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress. Many issues are dominating these elections. One important thing is that Rahul Gandhi remembered Sheila Dixit in his rally. Apart from this , Rahul Gandhi also said that the stand of both BJP and Arvind Kejriwal is the same on the issues of inflation, Adani and Dalits.

This election in Delhi is not just an election for the Delhi Assembly , but it is going to decide the direction of the country's politics. This election is especially important because BJP has lost in Delhi many times in the past , while Congress has won the elections thrice and Kejriwal has also almost equaled the record of Congress.

Kejriwal faces the challenge of saving power in this election. He has been in power for ten years and many MLAs are in their third term , against whom there is anger. This election is very important for BJP and Congress. Congress is finding it difficult to understand how to decide its strategy , because on one hand they want to save their alliance , on the other hand they are trying to show their strength against BJP and AAP in Delhi. In this context, Yogi Adityanath's stance and statements have become important.

Yogi Adityanath's recent comments aimed at religious polarization add another layer to the campaign. AAP faces the challenge of maintaining power amid unfulfilled promises, while Congress seeks to capitalize on potential vote splits between AAP and BJP. All parties are promising various freebies, raising concerns about whether these will overshadow essential development issues like education and employment. The election results will not only determine Delhi's political future but also have significant implications for national politics.

Recently, Yogi Adityanath mentioned the Okhla area and alleged that Arvind Kejriwal prevented industries from being set up there and allowed Rohingya and Bangladeshi refugees to settle there. Yogi also alleged that Kejriwal also got Aadhaar cards made for these people. The purpose of this statement of Yogi was to include religion in Delhi politics , because there was very little politics of religion in Delhi. Yogi's statement also made it clear that he is trying to play the game of religious polarization in Delhi.

The biggest challenge before AAP in the Delhi elections is to save its power. Kejriwal has publicised the work of his government among the people , but there are also allegations against him that he has not been able to fulfil the election promises. As far as Congress is concerned , it has now also realised that it can benefit from division of vote share between AAP and BJP.

Congress may get more seats this time than before , because voters have started realizing that both AAP and BJP are not paying attention to their issues. Congress's vote bank can be important in this election , especially in those areas where the competition between AAP and BJP is tough.

Another important issue of the election campaign is that all the major parties are promising freebies. Both AAP and BJP are promising freebies to the public. AAP has promised a salary of Rs 18,000 to women and free electricity , while BJP has also promised free ration and other facilities to provide relief to the public. Congress has also announced several schemes for the poor and middle class in its manifesto.

The question here is, won't these freebies sideline the real issue of development ? Along with these announcements, will the parties focus on the real issues of Delhi , such as education , health , and employment ?

Delhi elections 2025 will answer many important questions. BJP , AAP and Congress are seen competing in the electoral field. If Congress is able to increase its vote share , then it can play an important role in this election , which can also prove to be important for the next national elections.

The election results will decide which party the people of Delhi support. Electoral strategies and statements , such as Yogi Adityanath's focus on the issue of religion , can give a new turn to Delhi politics.

After all , this election is going to have a big impact not only on Delhi politics but also on national politics , and everyone's eyes are on Delhi.
