Having lost her only child Ariha to aliens in Germany

at the age of seven months her mother Dhara Shah is sitting at Jantar Mantar to draw attention of parliamentarians barely 100 two kilometres away to her plight today.

The Germans took away the child from the (Indian) couple Bhavesh Shah and Dhara Shah who  had been residents of Berlin since 2018.

The Child Care authorities accused the Indian couple of causing bodily injuries to their daughter based on injuries to her skull and some blood on the diaper from her private parts. These charges have been ruled out by medical experts who understand these issues.

After long sessions with the German child care authorities and their courts the Indian couple could not get back their child who has been in foster care since 2021.

Her lawyer Suranya Aiyar who has organised today's protest at Jantar Mantar said they were now asking the German authorities to at least allow her to participate in the Independence Day celebrations in Berlin.

Her mother Dhara said today in a video message that the German Child Care authorities are not even allowing the child to see her mother on video on the ground that it would disturb her emotionally.

Suranya Aiyar a prominent lawyer and activist who had fought the case of the Norway child which later became a super hit film said that the there is something basically wrong with the Best Interest of the Child Concept used by child care authorities all over the world, including India.

Amod K Kanth Founder General Secretary Prayas JAC former Chairperson of DCPCR has called upon the Indian Government, international human rights organisations and concerned stakeholders to intervene in the matter and protect the child's rights.
