On October 30 last UN employees were pleading with Israel for a ceasefire to save the lives of millions of Palestinians. In response to this, the arrogance of Benjamin Netanyahu was speaking: “A ceasefire would be tantamount to laying down our arms in the face of Hamas and terrorism. Therefore, this will not happen under any circumstances. Israel will fight until it wins this war!”

Netanyahu had forgotten that if the opposition had to lose, it would not have taken the initiative. In his statement it was announced that agreeing to a ceasefire near Israel was an act of surrendering arms not only to Hamas but to terrorism But then 22 days later, not only did Netanyahu agree to the ceasefire, but the Israeli Parliament also voted on this decision. The clear meaning of this ceasefire is that Israel has laid down its arms against both Hamas and terrorism for the time being?

There are four basic reasons for this change that took place within 22 days. The most important is that the patience of the Israeli people had reached its limit. Their trust in Netanyahu was rapidly decreasing due to the release of hostages. In this regard, They started doubting the capability as well as the seriousness of Their Prime Minister. They began to realize that Netanyahu was not particularly interested in their Welfare. On the tenth day after hostages were taken prisoner, i.e. on October 16, he was able to find time to meet the families of these hostages. Earlier, he was busy meeting foreign guests and showcasing his politics. Even after that the matter did not progress much, so on November 3, the families of the hostages demonstrated and alleged that the Cabinet was not paying much attention to their release. On November 18, thirty thousand protesters marched from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and protested in front of the Prime Minister's office. By that time, many surveys had declared the tremendous unpopularity of Netanyahu and there were various talks on the subject that resignation would be taken from the Prime Minister immediately after the ceasefire. So Netanyahu agreed to save his job.

Apart from the home front, also on the external surface, the sympathy of the international community that Israel had received due to the attack on October 7 was nullified by the brutal bombing and the international support base started moving in favor of Hamas. Its example was seen inside the United Nations, where countries like Britain and France also withdrew their support from Israel and after the capture of Al Shifa Hospital there came a time when America, which used to veto the veto, instead of supporting Israel, withdrew itself.

Meanwhile, many examples of Israeli brutality came to light. On October 21, Israel stopped the truck of food items sent by Egypt. After this, 600 trucks kept waiting at the Riffa crossing but Israel did not give permission. On October 22, 6.5 tonnes of medicines and 32 tonnes of other goods were sent, but that too remained undelivered. The same situation happened with goods sent from other countries. On November 18, Netanyahu made a false claim about not stopping the trucks, while 400 trucks remained stopped at the border. After this, on 21 November, BRICS countries also insisted on a ceasefire and the resolution was passed in the United Nations.

This external pressure became an important reason for the Ceasefire Israel is an artificial state which cannot survive without external help. The Israeli rulers are fully aware of their weakness. The most important reason for the ceasefire is the failure of Israel's globally infamous army, the IDF, to forcefully rescue the hostages. Hamas, though caught in difficult circumstances, foiled the Sahayunis in their nefarious designs.

To overcome their embarrassment, the Israeli rulers are saying that the ceasefire at this time will give their soldiers a chance to refresh themselves. In this way they have clearly accepted that the Israeli soldiers are already exhausted. On the contrary, Hamas is as ready as ever and by launching a rocket attack on Tel Aviv a day before the announcement of ceasefire, they proved that They are battle ready.

Benjamin Netanyahu called this bitter pill a 'difficult but right decision'. If the Israeli Prime Minister had realized this earlier, neither would so many innocent lives been lost nor would Israel's cruelty have been exposed to the world. In this first phase, children and women from both sides will be released. The Israeli Justice Ministry has published the names of 300 Palestinians held in Israeli prisons who are expected to be released. Apart from this, under the agreement, 300 aid trucks carrying fuel from Egypt daily will be allowed to enter Gaza. Netanyahu admitted that US President Joe Biden, who initially blocked the ceasefire, has helped in the agreement, that is, his mind has also been corrected. While Netanyahu has said Israel would continue the war until its goals were achieved, Hamas responded "our hands will remain on the trigger".

On November 22, under the four-day ceasefire agreed between Israel and Hamas with the mediation of Qatar, Egypt and America, Hamas will release 50 Israeli hostages. In return, Israel will release more than 150 Palestinian prisoners imprisoned in its jails. This process of release will not take place at once, these fifty people have been divided over four days and every day Hamas will release twelve or thirteen people and Israel will release three times as many prisoners. Since these would be children and women, this message would come to the world that Hamas had taken some children and women hostage on October 7, but before that Israel had imprisoned many more women and children. Therefore, those who call Hamas a terrorist on this basis should know that the biggest terrorist is Israel itself.

The Israeli government is also under tremendous pressure for the deaths of its soldiers. When they came to the ground after being bombed from the sky, they failed on every front and their daily deaths spread panic throughout Israel. Now the situation is such that two and a half million Jews have fled Israel and one million are preparing to flee, because now neither Israel is safe nor there is any guarantee of prosperity. In such a situation, whoever gets a chance will find his way.

After reading the situation, American President Joe Biden has publish an article Washington Post and has said that “Our aim is not to stop the war temporarily, but to end this war forever.” “a two-state solution is the only way to guarantee long-term security for both the Israeli and Palestinian peoples.” The current crisis has made this solution inevitable”. He wrote This open acceptance by the US President is the biggest success of Hamas and a message for the Israeli government.
