Parliament was in session yesterday the December 13, the day when Parliament was attacked 22 years back.

At around 1 pm two men suddenly jumped  from the Visitors’ Gallery.

While one jumped from one bench to another like an athlete and rushed towards the Speaker's seat another started spraying white and yellow smoke from the banisters they managed to carry despite the five later security check.

While the other MPs looked bewildered it was the brave Congress MP from Amritsar Surjeet Singh Aujla who caught hold of Sagar Sharma and dragged him outside the parliament.

He told journalists that this was a serious security breach in the newly constructed Parliament building and must be checked before another mushap.

Singh has the distinction of beating union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri in the 2019 elections by a good margin.

He had won the seat earlier in 2017 in bye election necessitated by the resignation of Captain Amrinder Singh who later joined the BJP.

It may be recalled that the Amritsar seat has never favoured the BJP. In fact Navjot Singh Sidhu had defeated then Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on a Congress ticket when Sidhu was refused the BJP ticket.

This action of Surjeet Singh Aujla assumes great significance when the Modi government is bent on creating an impression that al Sikhs are Khalistanis.

Their latest attempt to finish off Gurpatwant Singh Pannum a lawyer who has dual citizenship of Canada and US and is spokesperson of the Sikhs for Justice based in the US has created a huge embarrassment and diplomatic crisis between the two countries.

In fact after this attempt was exposed with the arrest of Nikhil Gupta, a drug operator in the RAW has to close down it's office in the US for the first time after 1969.

Ever since the Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau raised the issue of the killing of Harpreet Singh Nijjar in Canada by the Indian agencies, the Indian government and the MEA have gone on an offensive against Sikhs.

They have been telling the world that Sikhs are the worst enemies of India and they are out to create a seperate Sikh state Khalistan in India and must be eliminated by all means foul or fair.

The conversation of Nikhil Gupta that the US government has recorded in its charge sheet outlined a detailed plan to kill Sikhs in other countries.

The charge-sheet clearly mentions an Indian official who has been promising money and other help for this operation. So far the US authorities have not naned this person but we are hoping that the journalists of USA would come out with these details soon.

They had also promised that the case against Gupta in Gujarat would be withdrawn and this seems to have been fulfilled. Later when Indian reporters checked with the DGP in Gujarat he feigned ignorance of there being any case against Gupta in the state.

The taped conversation of Gupta submitted in the US courts reveals dangerous plans.

The man promises his undercover agent to finish off with Panuum after which there would be two or three fresh killings every month.

Yesterday's incident is also drawing comparisons with the suspension of Mohua Moitra's membership by the Lok Sabha speaker for sharing her password with a friend.

People on social media are saying that Mohua was only asking questions about the illegal practices adopted by Adani but here a BJP MP Pratap Simha a diehard fan of the Prime Minister had authorised the passes to Sharma who created security issues in the Lok Sabha. He is a journalist who has also penned an autobiography of the Prime Minister.

Would the Home Minister Amit Shah talking big about transparency and honesty, own up this lapse as well as that in the case that has created global embarrassment to the country?

The four intruders have been charged under UAPA by the police.

But they have revealed that they had created a Bhagat Singh Fan Club for sometime and this was part of their activities.

Would the BJP now declare Bhagat Singh a terrorist now?

Bharat wants to know!

Luckily none of the four offenders in yesterday's incident is a Muslim.

Imagine how far this story would have been stretched if even one of them had a different name.

Or is it too early to speak?

The National Investigation Agency must be hard at work.
