On 155th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

Addressing the Judge in his trial for Sedition for spreading disaffection against the Government through his writings on March 8, 1922, he said, "Affection cannot be manufactured or regulated by law. If one has no affection for a person or system, one should be free to give the fullest expression to his disaffection, so long as he does not contemplate, promote, or incite to violence.

After accepting all the charges listed against him, he told the Judge," Your Lordship now you have two options. if you agree with my articles you should resign from this post. And if you feel I am wrong give me the hardest punishment under the laws."

The Judge gave him seven years term in prison which he willingly accepted.”

Today Nation Celebrates the 120th Birth Anniversary Of Late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri

“But not many people know that late Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru was so much concerned about his protege Lal Bahadur।Shastri that he asked him to learn the political thought of Harold Laski from Dr Z A Ahmed who was very close to Nehru.

It would be worth mentioning here that when Jawahar Lal Nehru became AICC President in 1936 he inducted Dr ZA Ahmad Dr KM Ashraf and Dr Ram Manohar Lohia to work with him.

Dr ZA Ahmad mentioned in his autobiography that on the instructions from Nehru ji  Lal Bahadur  Shastri ji visited his house regularly to understand political thought from the books of Harold Laski.

 Today I would like to pay my tribute to people like Pt. Jawaharlal  Nehru who was so much concerned about updating the knowledge of his protege  Lal Bahadur Shashtri who followed the instructions of his mentor and ZA Ahmad who devoted time to teach his  'Special student'.

Harold Joseph Laski was a British Marxist, political theorist, economist, author, and lecturer, who served as the chairman of the Labour Party during 1945 to 1946 and was a professor at the London School of Economics from 1926 to 1950.”
